About Barb Wingfield

She knows why some employers succeed and other fall short in retaining their employees and building morale. Barb knows that employees have a desire to succeed and do meaningful work in the workplace. Too often it comes down to the employee quitting because of something the boss did rather than the job. A recent employee commented to Barb, “I love my job, I hate the environment.”

Barb Wingfield has her finger on the pulse of today’s work force. Her in-depth knowledge is the result of her diverse client base and her everyday observations. Using the basic principles of management she learned during her "kids, cows, and corn days", Barb creates programs that motivate, inspire, and most of all respect employees at all levels in an organization.

Barb has served in leadership positions in numerous professional and civic organizations. Not only is she Past President of NSA OHIO, the Ohio chapter of the National Speakers Association, she founded and continues to be involved with the MARS Program (Mentors And Rising Stars) a mentoring program designed to nurture new speakers in the industry.

Barb’s warm, down-to-earth approach has delighted audiences and the media across the country. Her practical knowledge and upbeat, easy, conversational style makes her a favorite with audiences, meeting planners, editors, producers, and writers.

Barb is the author of Reasons to Say WOW! A Celebration of Life’s Simple Pleasures and is the co-author or Retaining Your Employees, Using Respect, Recognition and Rewards for Positive Results and the soon to be released book, Winning at Human Relations.
